The 7.1 megapixels and 35-105mm (35mm equivalent) zoom-Nikkor ED lens offers photographers the flexibility to shoot a range of images from wide-open landscapes to clear portraits boasting true-to-life colour. The large, bright 3.0-inch LCD monitor and 170-degree viewing angle allows smoother composition and high-quality playback anywhere, at any time.

Built-in electronic Vibration Reduction (e-VR) and other Vibration Reduction capabilities compensate for camera shake and unsteady subjects to ensure sharp, clear results. Anti-shake mode automatically activates e-VR and BSS, a feature that selects the sharpest image from up to ten sequential shots, while also setting the optimal ISO for steady results. High-Sensitivity mode maximizes the camera’s exceptionally high light sensitivity by choosing the optimal setting, up to ISO 1600, for shooting fast-moving subjects or low light conditions.

The new model boats a wealth of features that help create the perfect picture, including a One-touch portrait button which acts as shortcut to three unique Nikon image innovations. Face-priority AF*** automatically focuses on a person’s face for satisfyingly sharp portraits. In-Camera Red-Eye Fix allows photographers to compensate for unwanted red-eye effects in-camera and under exposed images, or shots taken with too much back light, can be rescued with the help of D-Lighting technology. There are 15 scene modes to choose from to suit the desired effect.

The COOLPIX S7c also features built-in IEEE 802.11b/g LAN support. An integral Wi-Fi antenna supports the wireless image transfer of images to a computer and wireless printing is made possible with PictBridge-compatible printers*.

Pictmotion, the in-camera entertainment facility, allows users to select and combine their favourite images, movies, music and visual styles to produce audiovisual shows that can be enjoyed on the large built-in LCD. The COOLPIX S7c also features a new Stop-motion movie function that allows users to produce professional-looking animated movies.

The versatility of the new model is extended with the COOL-STATION MV-15 supplied with the camera. The handy cradle enables batteries to be recharged without removing them from the camera. An integrated USB port makes it possible to connect the camera to a TV. A Dock Insert PV-11 adds immediate direct print performance with ImageLink-compatible printers.

Like all COOLPIX cameras, the COOLPIX S7c comes complete with Nikon’s unique PictureProject software, making it easy to edit, organise and share images. The software is compatible with a range of available plug-ins for further functionality.

* Wireless printing requires optional Wireless Printer Adapter PD-10.
*** Face recognition capability may be limited in some shooting conditions.

Note: Specifications, design, product name, standard accessories, and release schedule may differ by country or area.

Nikon COOLPIX S7c Feature Highlights
Vibration Reduction
The COOLPIX S7c features electronic Vibration Reduction (VR) capability that allows users to overcome the effects of camera shake to produce satisfyingly sharp images. Taking data from a built-in angular velocity sensor, the system applies in-camera image processing to turn blurred images into beautifully sharp results. The COOLPIX S7c also offers new Anti-Shake and High-Sensitivity modes for clearer, more stable images in diverse situations.

Built-in Wi-Fi capability
With a built-in Wi-Fi antenna that complements the overall attraction of the wave-surface design, the COOLPIX S7c offers the freedom and flexibility of Wireless LAN support (IEEE 802.11b/g). Photographers are able to send pictures from memory to a computer on demand and transfer each image to the computer as soon as it has been taken. Wireless printing sends images directly to a PictBridge-compatible printer* for printing.
* Requires optionally available Wireless Printer Adapter PD-10.

Pictmotion and Stop-motion movie
Offering entertainment in-camera, users can choose up to 30 images or movies, select one of five soundtracks already in the camera or load new ones to match the mood*, then select a visual style. The COOLPIX S7c then produces a show automatically in-camera – with pace and transitions set in harmony with the music and style. A new Stop-motion movie function allows users to create professional-looking animated movies by selecting objects or models they wish to animate, shoot them, move them, then shoot again. The COOLPIX S7c then automatically creates an impressive animated film in-camera.
* Via PictureProject for Windows only; each file up to 3 minutes long.

Nikon image innovations
The One-touch portrait button makes it easier than ever to take impressive photographs by offering direct access to three Nikon image innovations – Face-priority AF* that automatically finds and focuses on faces in the frame, In-Camera Red-Eye Fix that detects and compensates for the unwanted red-eye effect sometimes encountered with flash, and Nikon’s powerful D-Lighting that can improve underexposed images or shots taken with too much backlight. Light and detail are automatically added to a copy of the shot wherever necessary leaving well-exposed areas exactly as they are.
* Face recognition capability may be limited in some shooting conditions.
