Advanced copying
For copying photographs and documents the evolution of ‘Dual Colour Gamut Processing Technology’ results in more accurate reproduction of colours. Gradation remains good throughout even the most colourful images because two types of colour space rendering are used. The Photo All-in-One identically reproduces those colours that fall within its printable colour gamut; meanwhile, colours outside it are scaled into the range for best possible results.
Copy speeds are consistently high: MP160, MP180 and MP460 achieve speeds of up to 22 copies per minute (cpm) for mono pages and 17 cpm for colour; MP510 delivers 25 cpm mono and 17 cpm colour.

Scanner resolution is available at either 600x1200dpi (MP160) or 1200x2400dpi with Auto Intensity (AE) copy function available on all models except MP160.

Outstanding photo lab quality at speed
With Canon’s FINE print head delivering up to 4800 x1200dpi resolution, employing micro-nozzles creating ink droplets as small as 2pl, superb photo lab quality photographs are ready in seconds. MP160, MP180 and MP460 take just 52 seconds to produce a borderless 10x15cm (4”x6”) print; whereas the higher specification MP510 requires only 47 seconds.5 Similarly impressive text document print speeds make these PIXMAs great all-rounders.
Versatile Canon imaging software comes supplied.

Versatile direct printing
Every PIXMA Photo All-in-One features direct printing from cameras that support PictBridge. In addition, these new models (excluding MP160) feature a Card Direct slot that is compatible with all popular digital camera and camcorder memory cards, providing additional direct photo printing options. They also offer a Photo Index Sheet function while the MP460 and MP510 provide wireless IrDA and optional Bluetooth printing (with the Bluetooth Unit BU-20), ideal for printing images captured on a mobile phone.

Advanced features for MP460 and MP510
While MP160 and MP180 are Canon’s entry-level Photo All-in-Ones, appealing to bargain hunters and first time buyers, more advanced features are available with the MP460 and MP510, which also represent great value for money.

Both printers feature a 1.9” (4.7cm) colour LCD screen, allowing images to be previewed and menus to be navigated more easily. In addition, MP510 features twin paper trays for 2-way paper feeding: both photo and plain paper can be loaded at the same time, to avoid inconvenient paper changes when alternating between photo and document printing.

Single Inks at new low price
The PIXMA MP510 Photo All-in-One provides users with the advantages of Canon’s Single Ink system at a new low price. Using separate transparent ink tanks minimises ink wastage, since each colour tank can be replaced individually. An integrated Smart LED on each tank warns when ink is running low and indicates when it is completely empty.

Pricing and availability
The PIXMA MP160, MP180, MP460 and MP510 will be available from September 2006, priced at: £59.00 inc. VAT/ €85.18 inc. VAT, £79.00 inc. VAT/ €114.06 inc. VAT, £99.00 inc VAT/ €142.94 inc. VAT and £119.00 inc. VAT/ €171.81 inc. VAT respectively.
