Satnav digicam utility updated

OziPhotoTool 1.6 has been released. OziPhotoTool combines the technology of a GPS receiver and a digital camera to automatically keep a record of where digital photos were taken.

OziPhotoTool takes digital photos with EXIF metadata, and GPS tracks to determine photo locations. OziPhotoTool outputs the linkage between the photos and their locations by creating an OziExplorer waypoint file, generating map features on OziExplorer maps, and/or watermarking the photos.

Version 1.6 fixes a few bugs, mostly associated with how different time zones are dealt with, and includes the following new features:

• Watermarks can now handle multiple lines using the &cr string replacement code

• The waypoint browser has a new section to customize what happens when you click on a photowaypoint thumbnail. You can use this action to select a filter time or location.

• String replacement codes (&east, &north, &zone) to output grid coordinates have been added, related to this are a number of new properties to control the lat/long to grid conversion. The conversion is done using a highly accurate Redfearns formula implementation.

• String replacement codes (&dmlat, &dmlong) for latitude and longitude in dd.mmm format have been added.
